Kamala Harris, VP pick postpone Raleigh visit due to Tropical Storm Debby

Kamala Harris, the presumptive Democratic nominee for president, will postpone her visit this week to Raleigh due to weather impacts from Tropica Storm Debby, a campaign official said.
Harris and her pick for vice presidential nominee were supposed to visit Raleigh on Thursday.
A new date has not been announced.
Harris is expected to unveil her running-mate selection Tuesday.
As of Monday night, Tropical Storm Debby is near the Florida-Georgia line, bringing torrential rain and major flood threats to the Southeast. The Triangle will see periods of heavy rain and flooding Tuesday through Friday.
Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance has scheduled a rally on Thursday morning at Raleigh’s Union Station.
The visits to North Carolina come as polls have tightened between Donald Trump and Harris. Harris became the presumptive nominee after President Joe Biden announced on July 21 that he wouldn’t run for reelection.
